Oxaquim installs 25,000 square meters of photovoltaic solar panels at the Alcañiz plant
Oxaquim is finalizing the installation of photovoltaic solar panels in an area of 25,000 square meters at its production plant in Alcañiz.
The project, valued at 1.5 million euros, has consisted of the total remodeling of the roof of the different warehouses that make up the factory and the subsequent installation of solar panels, in order to be supplied with green and clean energy. And, in this way, reduce its already low CO2 footprint.
Daniel Miquel, CEO of Oxaquim, estimates that, in a first phase, up to 20 percent of the energy consumption required by the plant will come from renewable sources. To allow, in the future, to keep on with increasing this percentage.
Consequently, Oxaquim continues to work to maintain its high quality standards and commitment to the environment, which have made it the cleanest and most efficient oxalic acid manufacturer in the world.
